    Thirty-six (36) OHS students traveled to Archer City on Saturday, January 11 to compete in the Invitational A UIL contests. Olney finished 2nd with a total of 349 points out of 1320 points awarded. Holliday (3A) placed 1st with 449 points. Last year Olney placed 3rd! We are going in the right direction!

UIL Invitational Meet Please join us on February 15, 2025, at Olney High School for a UIL Invitational Meet at Olney High School in Olney, TX. The meet will run on the conflict pattern schedule.

Academics will use 3rd party materials from Hexco, MRC, AWS, and Aplus with written tests for accounting, calculator, computer science, current events, literary criticism, mathematics, number sense, science, social studies, and spelling.

Written test fees will be $60.00 for unlimited entries per school. Register via the website or from your email. Make a copy and send it to Sherry Livingston.

Speech/debate registration will be on a Google form. Registration and costs will be separate for this part. Will update as soon as possible, but please send any questions to Lani Caffey.

2024 UIL STATE RESULTS

Sixteen (16) OHS students traveled to the University of Texas in Austin, TX, to compete on Tuesday, May 14, and Wednesday,  May 15, in the State UIL contests. Every coach on the academic team had at least one student who qualified to compete. Teams of accounting, calculator apps, computer science, mathematics, and number sense as well as individuals in science, Lincoln Douglas debate, and ready writing were represented at state. It's a great day to be a Cub!

2024 UIL REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

Thirty (30) OHS students traveled to Grayson College in Dennison, TX, to compete on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, in the Regionals UIL contests. Olney finished 1st with 302.5 points out of 1619 points awarded. The second and third places were Lindsay and Hico with 159 points and 140 points respectively—not only did we place first in Region 2, but our overall sweepstake scores were 92.5 points ahead of the other 3 regions. Of the students competing, sixteen (16) will advance to State on May 13-16. The state contest will be held at UT in Austin, TX. It's a great day to be a Cub!

2024 UIL DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

Forty-five (45) OHS students traveled to Archer City on Wednesday, April 3, and Monday, April 8 to compete in the District UIL contests. Olney finished 1st with 762 points out of 1647 points awarded.  Other competing schools include Archer City -- 2nd place, Nocona -- 3rd place, Seymour -- 4th place, Windthorst -- 5th place, and Petrolia -- 6th place.  Of the students competing, thirty (30) will advance to Regional on April 26-27. The regional contest will be held at Grayson College in Dennison, Texas. It's a great day to be a Cub!
